The “Design Charrette” process used during the Workshop
revolved around 7 main themes: water, Waste, Energy, Transport,
Community & Culture, Biodiversity, and amenities.
Participants were divided into small groups and added their inputs
on these different themes: they started with one theme and then
moved to the next table to comment on the already existing comments
from the previous group, etc. until they reached their original
theme. This was an original and creative way of discussing and exchanging
on how to reduce the environmental impact of ecotourism facilities.
