Clean Up Australia Day compliments Council's own Don't Waste Townsville campaign. Council is proud to continually support Clean Up Australia Day and strongly encourages community groups, businesses and local schools to register a site for Clean Up Australia Day. Townsville City Council will assist community groups and schools, who would like to participate in the event, with sites identification and registration. Council will also provide assistance with collection of rubbish picked up during the event. Participating in Clean Up Australia Day is an opportunity to make a positive difference to the health of our environment and contributes to making Townsville a cleaner and healthier place to live. |
